Looking for a perfect and easy açaí bowl recipe? After trying out different ingredients, I have found the best recipe for what is now my favorite food! This açaí bowl recipe is so simple and only requires four main ingredients. Oh, and did I mention this is also a healthy and low calorie dish!
While this recipe can be accommodated to your likings, my go-to ingredients include:
Smoothie Bowl:
-One packet from the Sambazon Açaí Superfruit Frozen Smoothie Packs
-One banana
-Frozen Blueberries or regular blueberries (I usually add in a handful, but it equals about half of a cup)
-Milk (You can add any kind of milk or liquid, but I usually start with a splash of milk)
Toppings (Optional):
-One banana and/or other fruit
-Granola (My favorite is the Kind Cinnamon Oat Granola or the Simply Nature Cinnamon Raison Granola)
-Peanut butter and/or honey
Steps: This Açaí bowl Recipe is super easy to make!
- Start by adding one packet of frozen açaí, one banana, about half of a cup of frozen blueberries, and a splash of milk into a large blender (hint: thaw the açaí packet a little bit, so it is easier to blend)
- Pour the mixture into a bowl (it should be a smooth and semi-thick consistency)
- Add toppings (this is my favorite part as I like to arrange my toppings in a aesthetic looking way)
My Top Tips:
-While you can use frozen blueberries or regular blueberries, I recommend using frozen blueberries to make the bowl thicker
-I always run my açaí packet under hot water to break it up. This helps it blend easier and quicker, and doesn’t break your blender (I may have learned this from experience…).
-I use blueberries and bananas as my go-to fruits as they do not have big seeds in them. Nothing is worse than crunchy seeds in your açaí bowl!
-Add spinach for a healthy source of green! When available, I always add a handful of spinach to my smoothies and açaí bowls as it provides a good source of leafy nutrition and is hardly noticeable in taste!
